Brokkr the dwarf forges upgrades, Valkyries bestow blessings, and the dwarven Dwarven Mastery system rewards balanced craftsmanship — every mechanic carries a mythological reference you will naturally begin to recognise.
The ultimate goal is to ascend to Valhalla and become an Einherjar — one of the chosen warriors who feast in Odin's hall. Each ascension permanently increases your power through Einherjar Marks, reflecting the Norse concept of warriors growing stronger through repeated trials. This prestige mechanic rewards players who understand the full rune system, since mastering runewords is required to unlock the final ascension path.
Forty-two Sagas track your journey from first hammer strike to mastery of the complete Elder Futhark. Sagas covering rune milestones — inscribing every rune, discovering a set number of runewords, invoking the legendary FUTHARK word — ensure that genuine engagement with the runic system is rewarded throughout the game, not just at the end.
